Sully and Pete

I have just discovered that my feelings for an actor's character in one show can influence how I feel about them in another show. It was kind of wierd how this came about. I flipped on the TV and Bones was on. When I saw it was one of the ones where Sully was Bones' partner b/c Booth was unashamedly begging Gordon Gordon to let him to sign off on his sanity. And when the episodes were on, I HATED, HATED, HATED the Sully character. I think I had some sort of notion that liking him was tatamount to breaking up B&B. Sacrilege!

Anyhow, long story short, he comes on screen and I didn't immediately recognize the actor. Then, that jerk Sully started speaking and I about shot the water I was drinking out of my nose because I DID recognize the voice immediately, and I KNEW it was the voice of a character I liked. And because I couldn't immediately place the likeable character, I found myself giving Sully a second chance while I listened to his voice to try and place him in likeable-ville.

Then I realized he belongs in Univille. It was Pete! Pete Latimer, from Warehouse 13, a character I adore! along with his co-characters Artie, Myka, and Claudia.

But because of my feelings for Pete, Sully got another chance. Granted, Mr. Gary-Stu Sully is still not one of my favorite characters (Degrees in everything from Carpentry to Kinestheology to Art? Licensed in Emergency Medicine and Profiling and half a dozen other things? Come on, there has to be something he sucks at!), but he's no longer on the "see him, change the channel" list. And it's ALL Pete's fault!
